Back!
Tuesday, April 29th, 2008Have you missed us? I am sorry we have been away so long! I went through some computer issues and lost months of personal photos and just couldn’t face “photo-documenting” for a while. And I am well aware that most of you could care less what I have to say. You just want to see the pics of Ellie-K!
I am ready to brave the technology world again (I almost wrote “techno-world and then realized that is something different entirely!) but I don’t really know where to start. Since Eloise Kimberly is 15 months old today, I will start with some pics I took tonight when we got home. She double-heart loves playing “ah-sye” (outside). I went out front to check the mail and we just HAD to stay and play on the steps until her lips were blue and her snots were running!
“Auntie Amy, thank you for my Crocs!”
“I could crawl steps all day!”
“Ohhhhh, a birdie up there!”
“Eeek! Mommy is chasing me with the camera!”
“Cool, weeds!” (Nice bootie shot Ellie!)
“Hi dot!!” (That means “dog”.) She waves to ALL dog walkers!
This pic was to show off Ellie’s tree. My parents planted it when I was pregnant!
Such a big girl! This pic is a bit blurry but I couldn’t resist - she is such a toddler now!
Words Ellie can speak at 15 months:
“da-da” - Joel
“na-na” (mama)
“na-na” (ni-night)
“nnt” (aunt) - she uses this for all the aunties!
“nnt” (want) - she points and says “nnt, nnt!” (not my fave)
“ot” (hot) - for all temperatures, hot or cold
“ot” (hat) - for all things on Daddy’s head
“dot ” (dog)
“ish” (fish)
“dall” (ball)
“dabis” (baby) - sounds nothing like the real word but she says it over and over! She says “na-na dabis” (night night baby). We have started calling all her babies Davis. ha!
“ahhh-da” (all done) - like tonight when I was trying to feed her peas!
“uh-oh”
“hiii da-da!” (Hi dada) - actually this is a greeting to anyone on the phone!
“la-lo-la-lo” (balloon) - again, sounds nothing like the real word!
“ah-sye” (outside)
“ah” (out) - as in, I want out of my car seat
“ah” (eye)
Other news:
Ella has molars now! They are huge and you can see them when she laughs.
She gives kisses! Big wet open ones - yum.
She can walk backwards. She will back across the room to sit on your lap.
She is still a two-a-day napper…I keep holding on to the last part of babyhood.
Ellie loves baby dolls now! I was hoping for this! She carries them, hugs them, pats them! SO cute!
She can reach things off the counter already! I have to be careful not to leave things near the edge anymore.
